The organizations we belong to demonstrate our commitment to creating a community around us that nurtures Painting in Partnership in being a premiere company in its industry and gives us the opportunity to give back to those same communities.

Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA)

PDCA has been the voice of the painting industry since 1885. Its mission is to nurture the development of its members as leaders of the industry. Painting in Partnership has been a member since 1989 and has played a role of leadership within the Association since 1994. Over the years, Painting in partnership and Mario Guertin have received numerous awards for their work and contributions.

PDCA Accredited Contractor

In 2006, the PDCA created the national “Accredited Contractor” program. Today, it represents the highest mark of professionalism in the painting industry. The program requires participation in a rigorous and on-going educational program and the implementation of the key systems that ensure the success of a business. Painting in Partnership became the first PDCA Accredited Contractor in 2006.

American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)

ASID is the leading organization for interior design professionals. From corporate boardrooms to home offices, hotel suites to health care facilities, ASID designers create the places where we live, work, play, heal and worship. Painting in Partnership has been an ASID Industry Partner since 1999. We share ASID’s goals to set the highest standards for the professionalism of our respective industries.

PDCA Craftsmanship Forum

The PDCA Craftsmanship Forum was founded in 2000 by Mario Guertin, who has been its President since then. The organization was created to help restore the meaning of craftsmanship to the painting industry. Its mission is to create standards for the execution of the painted work and improve the image of painting in the eye of the public and painters alike. The establishment of a Painter Certification program is its ultimate goal.

EPA Certified Lead Safe Firm

Painting in Partnership is Certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair and painting activities pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TCSA) Section 402.

Preservation Trades Network (PTN)

The PTN is an organization founded to provide education, networking and outreach for the traditional building trades. PTN was established on the principle that conservation of the built environment is fundamentally dependent on the work of skilled people in all of the traditional building trades who preserve, maintain and restore historic buildings, and build architectural heritage for the future. Painting in Partnership has been a member since 2006.

Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America (ICA&CA)

The ICA&CA is an association dedicated to advance the practices and appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture and the allied arts.
The association caters to architects, designers, contractors and suppliers who share a commitment to preserving our classical heritage in America.

The Association for Preservation Technology International (APT)

The Association for Preservation Technology International is a cross-disciplinary, international membership organization dedicated to promoting the best technology for the application of methods and materials to maintain, conserve, and protect historic structures and sites for future use and appreciation. APT has members in over 30 countries.

Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce has been serving the community and local businesses since 1950. Its membership exceeds 400 member businesses from Palatine and neighboring areas. By investing in the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, we get the chance to build relationships, expand our business connections and contribute to the community we live in.

International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL)

The IDAL is an international organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the art of stenciling and related decorative painting. IDAL provides opportunities for artistic and professional growth through: education, certification, public awareness, and networking. Painting in Partnership has been a member since 2004.

Barrington Area Historical Society

The Barrington Area Historical Society was founded in 1968 by local residents dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Barrington area. Since that time, the Society has become an integral part of the Barrington area communities. Painting in Partnership has been a Partner to the Society in doing lectures on different aspects of preserving and beautifying the buildings in the Historical District of Barrington.

Illinois State Historical Society

The Illinois State Historical Society was founded in 1899. The Society’s mission is to foster awareness, understanding, research, preservation, and recognition of history in Illinois. Painting in Partnership is a proud sponsor of the Society.
